Australian/Domestic students tuition fees

Tuition assurance
Tuition assurance protects students in the event a course of study provided by an approved HELP provider ceases to be provided after it starts but before it is completed.

Important:
National tuition assurance arrangements for private Higher Education providers changed on 1 January 2018. The Government has implemented interim tuition assurance arrangements for the 2018 calendar year for FEE-HELP students. New tuition assurance arrangements are slated for commencement on 1 January 2019. For more information please visit the education.gov.au website.

During these interim changes, please note:

  • If you are a Full Fee Paying domestic student (i.e. you have paid full fees for your study) your tuition fees are no longer assured by Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET)
  •  If you are a FEE-HELP student (i.e. you have used a FEE-HELP loan to pay for your study) for tuition assurance services are being provided by the Department of Education and Training

There have been no changes which apply to eligibility for FEE-HELP. Details of eligibility are published by the Australian Government on the StudyAssist website.
