Information for current onshore students

Is the College open? As of 20 July, Taylors College Perth will resume face-to-face teaching on campus. Current offshore students who are studying from their home country are able to continue to attend classes via virtual classrooms.
What campus facilities are currently available? The campus is open to staff and current onshore students with additional COVIDSafe measures in place, incorporating guidance from the Australian health authorities, in order to create a safe learning environment for all.
Can I stay in my accommodation? There are currently no issues with students remaining in their current accommodation and most University residences are open. You should check the residence’s individual website or homestay provider for further information.
What is the current health advice in Australia? The official updates from the Australian Government Department of Health provide the very latest health information.
What should I do if I feel unwell on campus? If you begin to feel unwell while you are on campus, please tell your teacher or the Student Welfare Team. They are trained to support students who have any health concerns.
What should I do if I feel unwell off campus? If you begin to feel unwell, please contact your GP or local/campus Medical for advice. Once you’ve received advice from a doctor, we ask that you contact the Student Welfare Team as soon as possible to notify them.

If you want to talk to someone about your symptoms first, you can call the National Coronavirus Helpline 1800 020 080 for advice (available 24/7).
Can I travel home? Refer to the Australian Department of Home Affairs website for the latest information regarding border closures, visas, visa extensions and other travel advice. Please also consult with travel restrictions from your home country.

Please note, only Australian citizens, residents and immediate family members can travel to Australia at this time. If students leave Australia it is unknown when the borders will reopen for you to be able to return.

If the college is open, can I travel to Australia to study? While we are eager to welcome our offshore students on campus we must follow government advice and guidance. For the moment, the borders remain closed and we await government confirmation as to when they will reopen. Students who are studying from their home country are able to continue to attend classes via virtual classrooms.
